FACILITIES
|

|
Hurstbourne Equestrian Centre offers a wide range
of facilities.
These include an international arena, outdoor school,
indoor school, stabling,
car parking, public address system, lights, BSJA show
jumps, practice jumps and blocks, dressage planters/markers
and boards, office facilities, clients rest room, gallops,
cross country course, hot and cold showers for both
horses and humans, etc.

International Arena
|
|
The international arena is a fully covered arena with
a Geltrack artificial surface. The arena floor measures
60m by 26m. It has an end tiered grandstand with 354
seats. There is a purpose built judges box on one long
side of the arena, which also houses the public address
system and timing equipment. Wall space is available
for advertising boards.

|
Outdoor School
|
|
The outdoor school is also an international size manege
with a Der Grune Sand surface. The school floor measures
60m by 28m and is surrounded by a smart post and rail
fence. It has a nicely sloping bank surrounded on two
sides that is suitable for viewing. Situated at 'C'
is a smart custom built judges box.

Indoor School
|
|
The indoor school has a Rubbertrack surface measuring
34m by 17m.

Stabling
|
|
All stabled liveries are housed in the two main american
barn blocks with 14 stables in each block. The stables
measure 12'6" x 12'. All these stables have windows,
which open and close, hay racks, automatic water drinkers
and feed mangers.
Any grass liveries requiring a stable for tacking
up or illness use the smaller block of stables, new
block.
An isloation block is available for visiting horses
for clinics etc.

Car Parking
|
|
There are sufficient areas for parking both cars for
visiting and lorries for clinics or lessons.
|
|
|
Public Address System
|
|
The PA system has a multi input amplifier with attached
lollipop microphone and radio microphones.
There are speakers covering all of the seating areas
and also in the Dutch Courage Room.

|
Lights
|
|
The lights in the international arena and indoor school
are high-pressure sodium lights which give an even spread
of clear bright light. There are also a few lights onto
the outdoor school.

|
BSJA Show Jumps
|
|
There is a set of BSJA standard show jumps all colour
co-ordinated with red, white, blue, green, pink and
yellow. Gates, brushes and palisades are included in
the set, together with sufficient cups for poles and
gates. The erection, design and dismantling of the course
are the responsibility of the hirer.

Practice Jumps and Blocks
|
|
This group of fences is designed for the practice
area, not for the whole course. There are working wings
and approximately 10 rough poles.
|

|
Dressage Planters/Markers and Boards
|
|
The square planters not only act as the letters for
an Olympic size dressage arena but can also be filled
with flowers for a decorative effect. The boards are
required for the two long sides of the arena to make
the Olympic size of 60m by 20m. Erection and dismantling
of the arena boards are the responsibility of the hirer.

Office
|
|
There is a purpose built office on the ground floor
of the international arena. Further office and secretarial
facilities may be available.
|
|
|
Dutch Courage Room
|
|
The upstairs function room is overlooking the international
arena has the facilities for a full bar and catering
facilities. This room is available for separate hire
on its own. Any kind of function can be catered for
from small meetings to larger events with the International
Arena. There is no catering company on site now, but
the local pub regularly provide a mobile service for
us.
